Fallen Tree

This painting was done on Flatbrach Creek, a small stream that winds itself through my hometown of Columbia, Missouri, in the U.S. It is a subject I have painted many times. If you look closely, you will see two deer in the distance. These animals wandered into the background as I was finishing the picture, and I quickly painted them into the scene.
