Blue Sky, Pink Clouds, Yellow Flowers

This watercolour features some of the distinctive rolling hills just southeast of my hometown of Portlaoise on a spectacular warm July afternoon. I tried to use the medium to it's best effect in capturing the pink clouds that were just starting to erupt on the horizon. I wanted to create an atmosphere in the painting where the viewer could almost smell the grass.
